About SWIM UK:
SWIM UK (Formally Brighton Swimming Teachers Centre) was formed by Paul Smith in 1995 to provide training to the staff of Brighton Swimming School. Initially offering a programme of swimming teaching courses and Lifesaving qualifications, Brighton Swimming Teachers Centre was accessed by the leisure industry, schools and swimming clubs.
In 1997 Brighton Swimming Teachers Centre formed a relationship with Northbrook College.Today SWIM UK operates one of the largest programmes of Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) and Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS) courses in the UK with 20 ASA qualification courses operating each year from level one course up to ASA Coaches Courses (level three) at our venues throughout the South East.
SWIM UK Lifeguard department also operates NPLQ courses on a regular basis at a number of centres throughout Sussex. SWIM UK has an innovative and pioneering approach to training. In 1997 it launched a unique Swimming Teaching development programme for staff of the leisure industry in association with Northbrook College –“The Teachers Initiative” – This has increased the numbers of young people in Sussex who are now able to access training and support and greatly strengthening their career prospects. |
