SWIM UK work in association with Sussex Downs College.

Winning With Women is a project offering women in the south east free career training for the Sports and Leisure industry. Winning With Women is a partnership between Sussex Downs College, Sport England and the Learning and Skills Council, which aims to help women across the region pursue a career in Sports and Leisure. This initiative is recruiting 250 women to take up their offer of free training, in the form of either a BTEC qualification or an NVQ taught at local training providers across the south east (Brighton Swimming Teachers Centre being one of them).

The qualifications aim to prepare women for a variety of industry-specific jobs, ranging from health and fitness instructors to sports and swimming coaches. Other potential job roles could include activity leaders and leisure centre staff.
